Michael Hough

Michael Hough holds BA and MA degrees in Art from California State University, Sacramento; and an MFA in Ceramic Sculpture from Rhode Island School of Design. A Bridgewater College Associate Professor of Art, his emphasis is on 3-dimensional courses. Michael is also the Director of the Beverly Perdue Art Gallery located in the Forrer Learning Commons. He is a sculptor, working in welded steel as well as a ceramic artist, exhibiting his pieces in solo and group shows. Images of his work have been published in books and magazines including the Korean Ceramics Monthly, Mastering Raku by Steve Branfman, The Ceramic Design Book from Lark Books, and Raku Pottery by Robert Pippenburg. He has presented at more than a dozen conferences and been a guest curator, judge and juror for a variety of local and regional exhibitions.
