Lana Lambert

Lana Lambert is an artist from the Faber area of Virginia. She took her love of the natural world with her to the metropolitan setting of the Corcoran College of Art and Design in Washington D.C. where she graduated with a BA in fine art. She has been deeply moved by the Shin-hanga movement in Japanese Woodblock printing and has been unlocking the mysteries technique for the past 18 years. Currently, Lana is developing a project called the Tree of Life. Using this theme, she is creating a collection of block prints which address themes of life, death, time, and other struggles of human understanding.

Touch This Sunset

Please touch this painting. This painting is made for those who cannot see or have difficulty seeing the beautiful cumulus clouds over Harrisonburg that set the sky ablaze some evenings. It is a dazzling show that everyone should experience. Braille Statement: "Sometimes, great lofty clouds glow like embers against the sinking sun and warm themselves in blankets of pink and marigold as early stars peek through the dark velvet cloak of oncoming night."
