Women in Focus is an annual multi-media event hosted by Court Square Theater and the Arts Council of the Valley which focuses on women's issues with art, poetry, music, storytelling and presentations from professionals working in various fields. It will be held on Sunday, March 24th at Court Square Theater in Harrisonburg, VA.

The 2019 Women in Focus will concentrate on female caregivers and healthcare by shining light on resources women can turn to in our area- support groups, clinics, monetary programs, etc. Women taking care of children, aging parents, and infirm spouses often become isolated over-burdened as they work to "do it all." We will focus on the often overlooked side of caregiving: the needs of the caregiver, and discuss preventative screenings for physical well-being, as well as how to maintain mental health during trying times. Our goal for the 2019 Women in Focus is for participants and attendees to leave informed, supported and empowered.

See the set list for this event below!

Our event’s MC is local actor, Gina Currence.
