2011-2012 Call For Grant Proposals
September 07th, 2011

The Arts Council of the Valley is pleased to announce its 2011-12 Call for Grant Proposals. This year we will be offering two types of grants: Creative Inspiration and Arts in Education.
Creative Inspiration grants are designed to support projects proposed by artists—visual, performing, literary, etc.—or arts organizations. Projects must be aimed at fostering collaboration between artists, arts organizations, community groups, and/or businesses and preserving the arts at the center of the Harrisonburg-Rockingham communities. Applicants must be residents of Harrisonburg or Rockingham County.
Arts in Education grants are open to educational institutions or art educators in the City of Harrisonburg or Rockingham County. Projects for this grant must benefit students in Kindergarten through 12th grade as well as meet requirements regarding non-profit status of fiscal agent and location. The project must be integrated into the school curriculum. If you are an artist or arts group interested in applying for an Arts in Education grant, you must partner with a local school and teacher.
